Bought the extended life LED battery and 4gb mms for my bricked psp 2001.

Charged the battery to full, put it in pandora mode by pressing the push button three times, and put it in the psp while holding L1 with the mms in it.

The green light comes on when the battery is inserted but nothing else happens.. Nothing.

Is there more to it? Did I do something wrong?

Does the barcode on the edge of the PSP start with AB02?

How was the PSP bricked?

No, the barcode doesn't start with that.

It bricked when the battery died while updating.

Hi guys, I received this bricked PSP Slim and tried to unbrick it with a Pandora battery and MMS. The screen stayed black with the green light on and thought that Pandora didn't work because the menu with the 5.00 M33-4 didn't come up but the moment I re-installed the original battery and ms it came back running on 3.80 M33-4. Changed it to 5.00M33 and then to 5.50 GenD-3 and after a while it bricked by itself. Tried the Pandora op for several times until it managed to come back. After a few minutes it bricked by itself again. Now it won't unbrick, Pandora does not work, no recovery menu, no nothing. What do you guys think? Thanks for your time.

I would suggest you try one of our Magic Memory Sticks. It should unbrick it.

3.80M33 was a very old firmware.

Which one do you recommend? It would only be for service use.

All of the magic memory sticks have the same software on them. If you do not need one for game storage the 1GB will work great.

I would like to know if the original poster has had any success getting their PSP to work with the new battery and memory stick. I've got the same problem - installing the PandoraSales LED battery and new memory stick does not work. I get the green Power light for a few seconds and nothing else. I have now reformatted the memory stick and reinstalled the MMS files, but it still does the same thing.

Any help out there?
